There are many reasons to immigrate to Canada.

Canada is the largest country in the world with only 30 million people approximately. The political capital of Canada is Ottawa. However, it can be said that Toronto is the main economic center. Among the largest cities are Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Canada is divided into 10 provinces and three territories. The Provinces from east to west are Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. The three territories are Nunavut, North-West Territories and Yukon. Canada means  “a village” in native language. Natives were living in Canada long before the French and British established themselves in North America in the 16th and 17th centuries. Since then, Canada has become a multicultural society built on work, dynamism and the creativity of immigrants coming to and sharing with us our common values based on peace and respect of human rights.

Canada is a great place to locate your business and your family.

Rated by Forbes as the #1 country in the world for business and #2 for corporate taxation simplicity, Canada has become the destination of choice for investors and businesspeople from around the world.

Canada has strong and stable macroeconomic fundamentals. These fundamentals include a commitment to sound public finances that was born out of the painful experience of reducing public debt during the 1990s.

Canada produces and exports oil and gas, hydro-electricity, lumber, potash and minerals. The development of these natural resources has been a huge boon for American investors and companies, in such areas as manufacturing, engineering and construction, who supply the Canadian market or do business there.

Canadian employees are highly educated and trained. Canada has the highest percentage of adults aged 25 to 64 having completed post-secondary education – at almost 49 percent in 2008 – among the group of eight major economies (G8) and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries. This is well above the OECD average of 28 percent and the U.S. figure of 41 percent. Canada’s universities produce quality graduates and attract top researchers and professors from all over the globe.

Its economy and supporting financial system are among the soundest in the world. The banks in Canada are stable, well-funded and well-regulated, such that the financial crisis and credit crunch that brought down many financial institutions, businesses and individuals in the U.S. did not spill over to Canada.

If you want to live the American Dream, move to Canada. Social mobility, measured by inter-generational changes in income between sons and their fathers, is twice as high in Canada as in the U.S. In other words, a son born to a poor father in the U.S. is twice as likely to remain poor throughout his life than had he been born in Canada.

More of our immigrants strike it rich: In both the U.S. and Canada the majority of millionaires are self-made, but a larger number in Canada are immigrants, according to a BMO study—in Canada nearly half of millionaires are immigrants or second-generation residents, compared to just one-third in America.

Canada’s cities have strong neighborhoods, numerous public and green spaces, excellent public and private schools and low crime rates.

In 2013 Canada was ranked the eighth most peaceful country in the world. The U.S is ranked 100th.

According to Wikipedia, in a 2002 interview with the Globe and Mail, Aga Khan, the 49th Imam of the Ismaili Muslims, described Canada as "the most successful pluralist society on the face of our globe",[168] citing it as "a model for the world".[169] A 2007 poll ranked Canada as the country with the most positive influence in the world. 28,000 people in 27 countries were asked to rate 12 countries as either having a positive or negative worldwide influence. Canada’s overall influence rating topped the list with 54 per cent of respondents rating it mostly positive and only 14 per cent mostly negative.[170]

The Canadian Bureau for International Education's top ten reasons to study in Canada:

10. Nature and four distinct seasons

While Canada has big cities, we also preserve a huge amount of unsettled land and have many national and provincial parks. Because Canada is such a large country and borders three oceans (the Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic), there is significant diversity in landscape from coast to coast and province to province. Canada also has four very distinct seasons and the temperature varies a great deal throughout the year. In the winter, certain cities almost never have snow, while other cities may get a lot. In the summer, temperatures can reach above 30 degrees Celsius. With such diversity, there’s something for everyone, including indoor and outdoor recreational activities at no or little cost.

9. Excellent health care

Relative to other countries, medical insurance in Canada is inexpensive yet the services that Canadian hospitals provide are among some of the most advanced and accessible in the world.

8. Canada’s education system

Canada’s universities maintain high standards of academic excellence and are consistently recognized in top international rankings. Moreover, Canadian tuition fees are some of the lowest in English-speaking countries.

7. Internationally recognized degrees

Each year hundreds of thousands of international students attend Canadian colleges and universities. Their degrees are recognized around the world as being equivalent to those obtained from the United States or Commonwealth countries. Canada boasts a wide range of quality educational institutions for both degrees and diplomas in technical and professional disciplines.

6. Learn or improve another language!

For over a century, Canada’s two official languages (English and French) have been taught as second languages, which is why we are world leaders in language training. International students often choose to take language courses before beginning a regular academic program.

5. Canada is a peaceful, politically stable, and safe country

Canada is a democratic country with laws that protect the rights of our citizens. Our country is also relatively unaffected by natural disasters.

4. A multicultural country

Over the past century and a half, Canada has welcomed 15 million immigrants. Canada is also home to over one million aboriginal people, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. Canada has a national policy for multiculturalism and works to ensure that people’s customs and traditions are preserved and respected.

3. Possibility to work in Canada after graduation

International students who have graduated from a Canadian university or college have the opportunity to work in Canada for up to one year after they receive their degree or diploma. International students can work on campus without a work permit. Plans are being made to allow international students to work off-campus, too.

2. The United Nations ranked Canada as one of the best places in the world to live!

This assessment was based upon Canada’s achievements in terms of educational attainment, life expectancy, national income and general quality of life. It also took into consideration Canada’s abundance of fresh water, comfortable population density, low incidence of violent crime and model health care system.

1. We are waiting for you!

Canadians are welcoming and respectful of differences. Our educational institutions encourage new students from abroad and strive to grow their international student population. One thing is for sure – your time in Canada will be something that you will never forget! What are you waiting for?
